TEN lucky Basotho were last weekend treated to an opportunity of a lifetime courtesy of DStv’s all-expenses weekend getaway to the annual Durban July festival in South Africa where they mingled with that country’s celebrities.

The Vodacom Durban July is one of South Africa’s most glamorous events which attracts celebrities, socialites and business people from South Africa and other countries to mingle and have fun in several activities that include horse racing, fashion shows and music.

Five DStv subscribers were chosen from a list of entrants who participated in a competition which ran from 18 to 28 May 2017 and was open to customers who had upgraded to the DStv premium bouquet.

The five winners were then given the opportunity to bring along their partners for the Durban holiday. They were joined by six DStv staff members and the media.

One of the lucky customers, Bofihla Neko said it was his first time flying and hailed DStv for the “wonderful experience” where they were “treated as VIPs from the word go”.

“Boarding a plane was awesome and if given a chance, I will definitely go back,” Mr Neko said, adding he was grateful to DStv.

Another participant, Libobotho Segoete said she had “never felt so beautiful and important in my life,” adding, “I normally see all the glamour on television but I got to see everything live and most of the celebrities were are so nice to people and I couldn’t have asked for anything better”.

For her part, Gotv Sales Manager, Refiloe Mohlotsane described the trip as a success and thanked the customers who looked beautiful at the event.

“They (customers) had a blast and we hope they will continue to show their loyal support.

There are more exiting activities for our customers who just need to continue subscribing and enjoying what DStv has to offer,” Ms Mohlotsane said.
